Indications

Coronal applications:

  •  temporary enamel restorations, permanent dentin restorations, deep or extensive carious lesions, deep cervical or root surface lesions, pulp capping, pulpotomy.

Radicular applications:

  • perforations and furcations, internal/external resorptions, apexification, surgical retrograde filling.

  • contains powder and liquid components ready for mixing, which translates into shorter preparation procedures, easy achievement of desired consistency, and material homogeneity with each use.
  • Available in two capacities:
  • XP 200 and XP 500, allowing for the preparation of the desired amount of dentin substitute.
  • Direct application:
  • when working on the crown, Biodentine is applied directly into the cavity starting from the cavity floor, which is possible thanks to the convenient applicator with an adjustable nozzle.
  • Thanks to the patented Active Biosilicate Technology ensuring high purity of tricalcium silicate, Biodentine XP material offers unique advantages:
  • Bioactivity: 
  • Biodentine allows pulp vitality to be maintained and can be applied directly to the pulp. Mineralization occurs as a result of hydroxyapatite formation. The material provides both tight sealing of dentinal tubules and the possibility of dentin bridge formation.
  • Biocompatibility:
  •  Biodentine can be applied directly to the pulp and vital tissues without risk of adverse reaction – due to the high purity of tricalcium silicate and the absence of resins in its composition.
  • Sealing properties:
  •  Biodentine can replace dentin in both the coronal and root systems, while reducing the risk of secondary caries through mineralization and tight sealing of dentinal tubules.
  • Properties mimicking natural dentin:
  •  Biodentine has the same mechanical properties as dentin and similar mechanical behavior.
  • Reduction of microbial proliferation:
  • The alkaline pH of the material inhibits bacterial growth, which translates into reduced post-treatment pain and a lower risk of secondary caries.
