• essential information for proper diagnosis

• examination scheme - trauma chart

• imaging diagnostics - what can be done, and what must be done?

• additional tests - key to communication with the patient, parent, another doctor

2. Contemporary classification of injuries according to Andreasen, discussion of injuries from groups:

• fractures

• luxations

11:30-13:00

3. Proper diagnosis - the key to success:

• diagnostic tree

• "trauma triage" in complex and multi-tooth injuries

4. First aid for primary and permanent tooth injuries according to the latest IADT guidelines:

• what to treat immediately, and what to postpone?

• management of uncomplicated and complicated crown fractures, root fractures, and crown-root fractures

Lunch break 13:00-14:00

Practical Part (4 hours, including a 30-minute coffee break)

1. Reconstruction of a fractured primary incisor crown using the strip crown method

2. Management of a complicated permanent incisor fracture - partial pulpotomy using bio-ceramic cements

3. Crown reconstruction by reattaching a fractured tooth fragment (reattachment)

4. Tips & Tricks from daily practice

Day two

Theoretical Part (4 hours, including a 30-minute coffee break)

9:00-13:00

1. First aid for injuries to primary and permanent teeth according to the latest IADT guidelines c.d.

• management of luxations - concussion, subluxation, extrusion, lateral luxation, intrusion, and avulsion of a tooth (knocked out tooth)

2. Splinting of teeth:

• splinting materials - discussion of available methods

immobilization time for individual injuries

• control and removal of immobilization

3. Recommendations for patients after trauma - as a crucial point for treatment success:

• dietary and hygienic

• follow-up visits

4. Communication with parents:

• prognosis

• possible complications

• consequences of primary tooth injuries on permanent successors

Lunch Break 13:00-14:00

Practical Part (4 hours, including a 30-minute coffee break)

1. Replantation of an avulsed permanent tooth step-by-step - exercises on a model

2. Splinting of teeth using a TTS splint

3. Repositioning of a permanent tooth after lateral luxation

4. Splinting using a splint, wire, and composite

5. Removal of immobilization from teeth without damaging the enamel
