"Zirconia Crowns in Pediatric Dentistry – From Incisor to Molar"
What will you learn during the training?
The training focuses on the practical and predictable use of zirconia crowns in pediatric dentistry - from proper patient qualification, through preparation, to cementation and prognosis assessment.
📚 Theory section
We will discuss the most important aspects of working with zirconia crowns in the anterior and posterior sections:
• indications and contraindications for the use of zirconia crowns
• step-by-step clinical procedure scheme
• core build-up and tooth preparation for the crown
• use of crowns in primary and permanent teeth as an alternative to stainless steel crowns
We will pay special attention to:
• hemostasis and proper cementation
• most common errors and complications
• analysis of clinical cases
Additionally, the following will be discussed:
• biological pulp treatment using bio-ceramic materials (NeoPutty, Biodentine, neoMTA)
• principles of qualification and the course of the pulp amputation procedure in the context of working with zirconia crowns
🥼🦷 Practical part
Intensive exercises on models, during which participants will independently prepare teeth for zirconia crowns:
• preparation of primary incisors and canines
• preparation of primary molars
• preparation of the permanent first molar
Participants will also practice:
• proper hemostasis techniques
• zirconia crown cementation procedure
• application of bio-ceramic materials in pulp treatment (MTA)
